Research Interests
My interests are: 1) postcapitalist economic diversity and the social solidarity economy, 2) post-growth/degrowth debates, and 3) wellbeing and the 'good life' in post-growth economies. In my research, I have generally focused on initiatives for community manufacturing and sufficiency, such as maker spaces and eco-communities. In my current project (2022-2024), RESHORE (Participatory Pathways for Reshoring European Manufacturing), I explore the diverse and contested economies of (re)localisation and deglobalisation, and ways communities can take the lead in meeting their own needs.
