CEI Schools and Workshops

In 2026, the CEI Summer/Winter School is taking a rest. In its place the CEI is running an online workshop, 'The Politics and Practice of Writing for Community Economies.'

There is now a waitlist for the June Workshop; places still available in the Nov/Dec Workshop

The writing workshop will run in June 2026 for those in Africa, Asia-Pacific and Europe; and it will be repeated in November/December 2026 for those in the Americas and Asia-Pacific. 

It will be led by Dr Jenny Cameron and Emeritus Professor Katherine Gibson, and will focus on the politics of writing for community economies as well as practical strategies to help authors clarify their message and communicate it to their audience.

The workshop is for post-PhD writers and each offering is capped at ten participants. 

Expressions of Interest are due by the end of February (for the June Workshop) and by the end of March (for the November/December Workshop). Click here for more details, including dates and costs.

Planning is already underway for the CEI Summer/Winter School to be held in mid-June 2027. The 2027 School will run be run in the same mode as earlier Summer/Winter Schools.
